  • Share I was told by Harris County Precinct 4 that the road construction on Park Row between Eldridge and Highway 6 is a Houston Public Works project and so I'm reaching out to you. Park Row has had traffic cones blocking lanes of traffic for over a year and it appears as though all construction is finished many months ago. Can you please provide an update on when this will be finished as it severely impacts my daily commute. Thank you. We understand that construction can sometimes disrupt daily life, and we genuinely appreciate your patience as we work to enhance our infrastructure. We’ve recently updated the Park Ten Project page with the latest progress and key details:

    1. Park Row Tunneling: We’re gearing up to start tunneling work on Park Row. While this work happens underground and may not be visible, rest assured that significant strides are being made behind the scenes.
    2. Eldridge and Memorial: We’re closely collaborating with our engineers to minimize traffic disruptions during the upcoming construction on Eldridge near Memorial. Our goal is to ensure your daily commute remains as smooth as possible.
    3. N. Eldridge: Construction is also underway at the N. Eldridge Lift Station, located next to the library.

We recognize that the pace or visibility of this work might raise some concerns. Please know that we’re committed to completing these projects efficiently. Much of the work involves tunneling, so crews may not always be visible, but progress is ongoing.  We encourage you to visit the project page: https://www.engagehouston.org/parkten  and subscribe to receive the latest updates via email. Your involvement and support are invaluable, and we want to ensure you’re always in the loop.

Thank you for staying connected with us!

    Howdy Neighbor!

The Contractor initially completed the work on Bering Drive. However, the City found several areas for improvement in the new sanitary line. The Contractor had to re-excavate the road to address the deficiencies. At this time, the substantial completion deadline is set for the end of 2023.

The roads are being paved, and the work is not associated with a sewer project. In regards to additional information, please contact 311. Thank You for visiting EngageHouston.org
