Exciting News! This week, all traffic control devices have been removed from Bering Drive, except for the southwest corner of San Felipe and Bering. This corner remains closed because the contractor needs to install a custom-made vent next to the manhole. Once this vent is installed, the project will be considered complete. Stay tuned for the final updates!

We anticipate that the remaining work will extend for another eight to ten weeks, putting the estimated completion timeframe around mid-June or Spring 2024. The delay primarily stems from the testing protocols required for the reinstalled sections of the pipeline. As per these testing guidelines, the Contractor must wait for a 30-day period before conducting the necessary inspections on the pipe. However, there is a silver lining as we anticipate the removal of traffic control measures along a short section of Bering (near San Felipe) by month's end.

The work along Bering Drive is expected to take another six to seven weeks with an estimated completion timeline of early April (Spring 2024). During this time, the newly installed piping system will undergo testing and constituents can expect to see traffic control measures removed near the intersection of Bering and San Felipe in the coming weeks.
