Why are there no speed limit signs and/or stop signs on Northline Dtive between Little York and Canino? This is a four line section in a residential area where one speeding car already crashed into a reaidence at 102 East Tomlin Drive. Vehicles speed all day long-.. This is a public safety matter!

When will the work be done on on bering between san flippe and westheimer? It has been 2 yrs or more. We only keep seeing them digging up the same hole over and over again. The street is caving in and cars are having to dodge potholes.

    Howdy Neighbor!

The Contractor initially completed the work on Bering Drive. However, the City found several areas for improvement in the new sanitary line. The Contractor had to re-excavate the road to address the deficiencies. At this time, the substantial completion deadline is set for the end of 2023.

What is going on with the section of Bering drive between San Felipe and Woodway?. This week they moved in and they started scraping/milling off the top layer of the street and a neighbor called 311 and was told it was for sewer line replacement. It was my understanding and listed on this site that the sewer line replacement/ lift station abandonment project just involved the portion of Bering between San Felipe and westheimer and scheduled to be completed summer of 2023.

Howdy Neighbor! The area of Bering Drive between San Felipe and Woodway is a part of the Mayor's Street Rehabilitation. The roads are being paved, and the work is not associated with a sewer project. In regards to additional information, please contact 311. Thank You for visiting EngageHouston.org

What is Houston Public Works involvement with the "safe streets" program? W Clay (between Dunlavy and Woodhead) has been designated as a “safe street”. Please confirm when construction will begin on this segment. There are no sidewalks on this part of W Clay and it is very dangerous for pedestrians trying to get to Krogers. Thanks.

What is being done on Bering Drive just north of Westheimer?

Cdwalston asked about 2 years ago

Thank you for your question. The scope of work along Bering Drive (from Westheimer to San Felipe) includes installation of a new sanitary sewer.  This work is part of a project which extends along Fountain View Drive and Bering Drive between Westheimer Road and San Felipe Street.  The project scope includes the installation of new sanitary sewers of various sizes along Fountain View, San Felipe, and Bering using trenchless construction.  The work will also include demolition of existing lift stations in the area and route the flow to a new larger capacity lift station (being constructed under a separate project) via the new sewers as part of the City’s overall wastewater consolidation program. Please view https://www.engagehouston.org/abandonment-of-bering-and-san-felipe-lift-stations for more information.

When will street and drainage repair on Aspen and Jessamine streets in the Bellhaven Subdivision of Richmond Plaza begin? It was part of 2020 CIP for District J.

nirjaaiyer asked over 2 years ago

Thank you for your question. We anticipate the Richmond Plaza project construction to begin in the 4th quarter of 2022, pending Council approval. Currently, we do not have a schedule for the sequence of the construction.  The phasing of the project will be determined when we get closer to awarding the project to a contractor for construction.
