DETAILS The work includes the reconstruction of asphalt overlay pavement at four signalized intersections, replacement of two inlets at the intersection of W. Fuqua/Blue Ridge, construction of a new traffic signal; concrete curb, pavement markings, wheelchair ramps, signage, within the signalized intersections, along W. Fuqua improvements includes removal and replacement of existing sidewalks on both sides, ADA Ramps and driveways within the Right Of Way. The signalized intersections to be reconstructed are at the intersections of West Fuqua with the following streets being listed:

• Fondren Road
• Hillcroft Street
• Blue Ridge Road
• Chimney Rock Road

General Project Information

What is the purpose of this project? This project is reconstructing asphalt overlay pavement at four signalized intersections, replacing two inlets at the W. Fuqua/Blue Ridge intersection, and installing a new traffic signal, concrete curb, pavement markings, wheelchair ramps, and signage within the signalized intersections. The improvements along W. Fuqua will include replacing existing sidewalks on both sides and installing ADA Ramps and driveways within the Right Of Way. The signalized intersections that will be reconstructed are located at West Fuqua and other streets.

How long is the project going to take? Work is scheduled to begin in the Spring 2024 and is anticipated to be completed in the Fall 2024. The project schedule depends upon weather conditions.
