Our wastewater project has experienced some delays due to unexpected obstacles encountered during tunneling, along with weather-related challenges. As with any major construction effort, unforeseen issues can arise—but we’re working hard to keep things moving forward and the new completion date is now Fall 2025.

Park Row

Crews continue to make steady progress on concrete, curb, and median restoration, along with completing manhole installations and removing construction shafts. This work is essential to advancing the project and will continue through the current phase.

North Eldridge (South of I-10)

Construction activity remains ongoing near I-10, with work progressing on multiple underground shafts. Preparations are underway for tunnel operations, and hand tunneling is expected to begin soon in the area.

Lift Station Improvements

Electrical work has been completed, and pavement restoration is in progress as we move toward wrapping up this portion of the project.

Park Row:
Crews are making steady progress with concrete, curb, and median restoration, along with finishing manhole installations and shaft backfill/removal. These activities are essential to advancing this phase of the project and will continue in the coming weeks.

North Eldridge (South of I-10):
Construction remains active near I-10 with continued work on multiple shafts. Preparations are underway for upcoming tunnel operations, expected to begin soon. While there is currently no active construction at the Memorial and Eldridge intersection, hand tunneling in that area is scheduled to start shortly.

Lift Station Improvements:
All electrical work has been completed, and pavement restoration is in progress to return the area to its final condition.

Park Row Area:

Pavement restoration has been completed around Shaft 5 to Shaft 7 at Stations 20+64 and 29+78.

The hand tunnel between Shaft 12 at Station 51+44 and the existing shaft across Park Row is ongoing.

Work on Shaft 6 at Station 25+03 has been completed.

Installation at Shaft 1 at Station 2+05 near the wastewater treatment plant is currently underway.

The only remaining shaft installation along Park Row will be Shaft 12 at Station 51+44.

North Eldridge Area:

The shaft at the intersection of Memorial Drive and North Eldridge Parkway has been completed, and the traffic control measures remain unchanged.

Shaft 12 has been completed. The tunneling subcontractor is mobilizing for tunnel preparation between Shaft 12 and Shaft 18.
