    We would like to share the latest progress of the Park Ten wastewater Project (Revised)


    Park Row:

    • Testing is ongoing from Memorial Brook to North Eldridge. Once testing is approved, traffic control will be removed and the roadway will be open.


    • The City of Houston has approved the 24 Hour work schedule for the tunneling operations from Highway 6 to Park Ten. This schedule will begin October 1, 2024 through October 21, 2024 including Saturdays and Sundays. The Contractor work schedule is required to adhere to the City of Houston Code of Ordinances, Section 30-5 Maximum Permissible Sound Levels. This work plan will allow the Contractor to align with the planned schedule.


    North Eldridge (South of I-10)

    The contractor is currently maintaining the traffic control plan. The signage is being reviewed to ensure clear traffic flow, and adjustments will be made as necessary.


    Lift Station

    We’re making strides with ongoing electrical work, and all piping and pumps have been installed. Testing is set to take place in December.

    We are currently developing a traffic control plan for the area near North Eldridge Parkway and Memorial Drive. While intermittent work may be visible at the surface, please note that most activities will occur in phases, minimizing disruptions whenever possible. Stay tuned for further updates as the project progresses.


    We’d like to share an update on the progress of the Park Ten Wastewater project as of this month:


    Park Row Shaft/Tunneling:

    • We’ve successfully installed 100 linear feet of pipe!
    • Tunneling operations is in progress and on schedule.


    North Eldridge/Memorial Lift Station:

    • The walls are complete, and we’re gearing up for the installation of the top slab.
    • We’ve passed the electrical code inspection, and work is continuing smoothly.

    We have recently updated the Park Ten Project page with the latest developments and details:


    1. Park Row Tunneling: Soon, we will begin tunneling work in Park Row. While this work will be happening below the surface and might not be visible, please rest assured that significant progress will be made once it starts.


    2. Eldridge and Memorial: We are collaborating with our engineers to minimize traffic disruptions when construction begins on Eldridge near Memorial. We are committed to reducing the impact on your daily commute.


    3. N. Eldridge: Construction is also taking place at the N. Eldridge Lift Station next to the library.


    We understand that some citizens might feel concerned about the pace or visibility of the work. Please know that we are working diligently to ensure all projects are completed as efficiently as possible. This project is mostly tunneling work; therefore the workers may not be visible at all times.

    Exciting Project Updates!

    • The contractor successfully installed the approved Traffic Control Plan.
    • Low concrete barriers will be installed to ensure safety in the area.
    • Work along N. Eldridge will continue.
    • To ease traffic impacts, traffic signs, flagmen/uniformed officers, and adjustments to traffic signal timings may be implemented.
    • The site will be fully restored as soon as the work is completed.
