Trees
Share Trees on Facebook Share Trees on Twitter Share Trees on Linkedin Email Trees linkThe City understands the value and beauty of our trees and is committed to make sure we evaluate and preserve all trees within the project area when possible. However, due to the drainage, safety and mobility improvements planned for this project, some of the trees along Kirkwood Drive will be impacted and require removal. The good news is that no trees along Briar Forest will be impacted by this project.
The City does have a tree ordinance that governs the removal, mitigation and care of trees within the City’s right-of-way for construction projects. At the conclusion of this project, the Contractor will be installing new trees along the project alignment to mitigate for the removal of the existing trees per the Ordinance. The tree protection plan for this project is posted here on the project page. Please subscribe to this page to receive the latest updates as they become available.
