Protected Bike Lanes

Recently, Houston Public Works has received feedback from concerned citizens and various stakeholders that protected bike lanes on this segment of Shepherd-Durham is critical to satisfy the intent of the Houston Vision Zero Action Plan. Based on this feedback, Houston Public Works is committed to implementing protected bike lanes within the context of this corridor. Houston Public Works is currently working on refining the design to add the protected bike lane features as part of this project. When specific concept design of the protected bike lanes is determined; it will be posted on the project website.
