GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION

Q What is the purpose of this project?
A This project will improve mobility, traffic circulation and drainage in the service area.


Q What is going to be replaced/installed in this project?
A This project will install new roadways including two bridges, sidewalks, streetlights and a drainage system.


Q How long is this project going to take to complete?
A 20 months (600 calendar days). Work is scheduled to begin in Spring 2023 and anticipated to be completed in Winter 2025. The project schedule will depend on weather conditions

SIDEWALKS, TREES & LIGHTING

Q Will there be Street Light Poles installed?
A Yes. The Street Lighting Plan identifies the light poles to be removed and replaced as well as new light poles as part of the street extension project.


CONSTRUCTION

Q At some point, will my utilities be affected?
A No. The project is limited to minor relocation of water lines that will not impact the neighborhood.


Q Will this project cause traffic/mobility issues (lane closures, increase of trucks in the area, etc.)?
A This project may have limited material delivery trucks in the area. Most work will be in the unpaved area adjacent to the Fort Bend County Parkway Toll Road. The traffic control plans can be found on the project page.


Q Are they going to dig up the front area or just the street?
A There will be removal and replacement of pavement and sidewalks on Court Road from Quailynn Drive to the west dead-end within the rights-of-way. No work is planned on individual (private) property.


Q When will my services be transferred to the new line?
A This project does not include any water or wastewater service transfers.
