    The road is open! The City of Houston has completed the paving for the roadway project, and it is now open for use. Please note that some minor construction work may occur over the next few weeks as the construction company completes minor fixes. The final completion is Spring 2024.

    As of early February, Holmes Road is now open to traffic on all sides. The City of Houston is currently in the process of taking the necessary steps to formally close the project, which includes conducting final walkthroughs of the completed work and making various minor improvements. The project is expected to be fully completed by the end of this month (March).
