Why This Project Matters

1. Keeps wastewater flowing reliably for Kingwood neighborhoods These five lift stations — Kingwood Place South, Golden Bear, Deer Springs, AG Farm, and Golf Course — are critical links in the wastewater system serving the Kingwood community. Upgrading them ensures wastewater is moved safely and efficiently, reducing the risk of overflows and backups that can affect streets, yards, and homes across the area.

2. Addresses community concerns about visual impact Because the upgraded electrical platforms will stand approximately 6 feet above existing fences, this is an opportunity to work with residents on solutions that minimize the visual footprint of the improvements in their neighborhoods.

3. Strengthens essential infrastructure across five sites in Council District E From Sorters Road to Pine Bend, this project touches multiple Kingwood neighborhoods — including areas along Deer Springs Drive, Woodlake Lane, and Golden Bear Lane. Investing in these facilities now protects the long-term reliability of the wastewater system and the quality of life for residents throughout Council District E.
