GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION
Q What is the purpose of this project?
A This project is part of the City's Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) Consolidation Package for wastewater facilities and is required to control operations and maintenance costs to ensure regulatory compliance.
Q What is going to be replaced/installed in this project?
A Work of the Contract is primarily for the construction of 36-inch force main by combination of open cut and trenchless construction methods, including installation of valves, connections, and appurtenances. As well as pavement repairs and restorations, and adjustments of existing storm sewers and drainage inlets in conflict with the proposed force main work.
Q How long is this project going to take to complete?
A (540 calendar days). Work is scheduled to begin in Fall 2023 and anticipated to be completed in Spring 2025. The project schedule will depend on weather conditions.
SIDEWALKS, TREES & LIGHTING
Q Will there be Street Light Poles installed?
A No; however, due to some street light lines in conflict with proposed force main work, six street light poles will be removed and replaced with 30-ft standard Cobra poles with 45w LED luminaires. Three along Kirkvalley Drive, two along Kirkglen Drive, and one on Sageforest Drive.
Q What trees are being removed?
A No.

Q At some point, will my utilities be affected?
A No
Q Will this project cause traffic/mobility issues (lane closures, increase of trucks in the area, etc.)?
A No
Q Are they going to dig up the front area or just the street?
A No.
