Tree Markings. Lift Station Construction on Westmont Drive 77015 Some have orange netting and some have pink painted sticks. What does each mean?

Dottie Wood asked over 1 year ago

Thank you for your question. The orange fencing typically with four stakes around the trees are required standard tree protection. The pink painted sticks are typically survey markers to identify pipe alignments, station numbers and/or manhole/fitting/valves/etc. identification.

    What is a Lift Station?

Riviera East asked almost 2 years ago

Thank you for your question. A wastewater lift station is a pumping station that moves wastewater from a lower elevation to a higher elevation. The benefit of using a lift station in a sewage collection system is that it saves a substantial amount of money in excavation costs, which involves digging for sewer pipes.
