DETAILS The project provides for the rehabilitation offour lift stations: Maxey Rd., Mesa Dr., Westmont and North Shore and the construction of a new lift station at East Ten Park. There will also be construction of gravity sewer along Westmont Drive.

What is the purpose of this project?
This project is part of the City's Lift Station Renewal and Replacement Improvements program and is required to replace/upgrade lift station facilities. The work to be performed under this contract award is necessary to maintain compliance with Houston's wastewater consent decree with EPA and TCEQ. It is necessary due to the age and condition.
How long is this project going to take to complete? 17 months (500 calendar days). Work is scheduled to begin in Summer 2022 and is anticipated to be completed in Winter 2024. The project schedule depends upon weather conditions.

Thank you for your question. The orange fencing typically with four stakes around the trees are required standard tree protection. The pink painted sticks are typically survey markers to identify pipe alignments, station numbers and/or manhole/fitting/valves/etc. identification.
