DETAILS The Taylor Gully Channel Conveyance Improvements Project is a Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD)/City of Houston flood damage reduction project managed by the District. The Project consists of downstream channel improvements combined with upstream regional mitigation. The channel improvements include a concrete low-flow rectangular channel in the center of the existing channel, from approximately 350 feet downstream of Creek Manor Dr. downstream to the existing drop structure at Mills Branch Dr. The regional stormwater detention basin designed to mitigate the increased discharges resulting from improved channel conveyance is proposed to be constructed within the HCFCD owned property in Montgomery County at the headwaters of Taylors Gully.

	What is the purpose of this project? The purpose of this project is to increase system capacity and reduce the 100-year floodplain of Taylor Gully.
	How long is this project going to take to complete? Construction began in Spring 2022 and is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2027. The project schedule depends upon weather conditions.
