The original contractor for this project filed for bankruptcy in September 2023, and was subsequently unable to continue the contract work. Therefore, the City terminated their contract and requested to find a replacement contractor to finish the remaining work. We are currently in the process of finding a new contractor. Once selected, the new contractor will resume the work. In the interim, to maintain public safety at the site, the streets need to remain blocked due to testing and open shafts.
