Tree Protection

We understand how important the trees are along the corridors, and while some will need to be removed for the work that will help reduce flooding and improve long-term neighborhood resilience, we’re committed to preserving and replacing as many as possible. The good news is that when construction wraps up, we’ll be planting over 500 new trees throughout the project area. These new plantings will bring fresh shade, improved air quality, and beautiful landscaping that will grow with the community for generations. Together, we’re building safer streets and a greener future.
