WHAT:	Multi-lane closure and traffic pattern shift
WHERE:	Shepherd Drive from approximately 10th Street through 12th Street
WHEN:	Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHY:	New traffic pattern to support the next phase of construction on the Shepherd-Durham project

During the closure, northbound traffic on Shepherd Drive will be reduced to one lane. Drivers should avoid the area if possible.
Drivers who must travel through the area should expect delays and pay attention to law enforcement officers and construction personnel, especially near the 11th Street intersection.
The closure is expected to be complete by 4 p.m. the same day.
Between the White Oak Bayou bridge and just south of 11th Street, traffic is currently restricted to two right lanes. This configuration will be extended through the 11th Street intersection to the north side of 12th Street along Shepherd Drive.
The new traffic pattern will allow crews to continue construction of underground utilities, new roadway pavement, sidewalks, and other streetscape elements along Shepherd Drive.
