The project is progressing well! Contractors are installing wastewater lines along Durham Drive between 11th Street and the MKT Trail, as well as stormwater lines along the Shepherd Service Road between 7th Street and 8th Street. A detour is currently in place at 7th Street and Shepherd Drive to help maintain safe traffic flow during construction.

The public may also notice a temporary asphalt-paved MKT multi-use trail on the north side of the existing concrete trail between Shepherd and Durham. This temporary trail will help maintain access while future work under the MKT Trail is completed. We are pleased to report that the project remains on schedule for completion by Fall 2028.
